Most heating and insulation materials can only be used in a vacuum: The heating and insulation lining of a vacuum heat treatment furnace operates under vacuum and high temperatures, thus requiring high temperature resistance, low steam pressure, good heat dissipation, and low thermal conductivity. The requirement for oxidation resistance is not high. Therefore, tantalum, tungsten, molybdenum, and graphite are widely used as heating and insulation materials in vacuum heat treatment furnaces. These materials are easily oxidized in atmospheric conditions; therefore, traditional heat treatment furnaces cannot use these heating and insulation materials.
Use low voltage and high current: In a vacuum container, when the vacuum gap is in the range of several Torr to 10-1 Torr, the charged conductors in the vacuum container will generate glow discharge at higher voltages. Vacuum heat treatment furnaces will generate serious arc discharge, burning out the electric heating elements and insulation layer, causing major accidents and losses. Therefore, the operating voltage of the electric heating elements of a vacuum cupellation furnace generally does not exceed 80-100 volts. At the same time, effective measures should be taken in the structural design of the electric heating elements, such as avoiding parts with sharp ends as much as possible, and the distance between the electrodes should not be too narrow to prevent discharge or arc discharge.

2. After connecting the thermocouple, the furnace will heat up normally, and the instrument will always display the normal temperature: Open the controller casing and remove the anti-vibration disconnection at both ends of the thermocouple (red line).
3. After power-on, the instrument displays a negative number: Connect the positive and negative poles of the thermocouple, and reverse the positive and negative pole connections of the thermocouple.
4. After power-on, the instrument displays the maximum value or 9999: Use a multimeter to measure the two ends of the thermocouple to see if it is not working. If it does not work, replace the thermocouple; if it does, use a wire to short-circuit the thermocouple. If the maximum value is still displayed, the temperature controller is damaged, and the instrument can be replaced.
