（ 1) Powder Protective Slag ：It is a mechanical mixture of various powdery materials. During long-distance transportation, materials with different specific gravities are separated due to long-term vibration, destroying the uniform state of the slag and affecting the stability of the use effect. At the same time, when slag powder is added to the crystallizer, dust flies, polluting the environment.
（ 2) Granular Protective Slag ：In order to overcome the shortcomings of environmental pollution, an appropriate amount of binder is added to the powder Protective Slag to make the granular Protective Slag look like rice grains. The manufacturing process is complex and increases the cost.
（ 3) Pre-melted type Protective Slag ：All slag-forming materials are mixed evenly, put into a pre-melting furnace, melted into one, cooled, crushed, ground into fine powder, and an appropriate melting rate regulator is added to obtain pre-melted powder. Pre-melted Protective Slag powder can be further processed into granular mold powder. The manufacturing process of pre-melted mold powder is complex and costly. However, it can improve Protective Slag uniformity.
（ 4) Exothermic Protective Slag ：Heating materials (such as aluminum powder) are added to the slag powder to oxidize and release heat, and quickly form a liquid slag layer. However, this slag formation rate is difficult to control and costly, so it is rarely used.
