Melting Point and Melting Rate Tester Sample Preparation:
Take 5-10g of slag sample. The sample to be tested should be dry and have a uniform composition. Before sample preparation, it should be ground in an agate mortar. After grinding, the particle size of the powder should be 180~200 mesh. Add a small amount of deionized water or anhydrous ethanol and mix well. Press the sample using a sample mold and store it in a desiccator. After the sample is demolded, regularly trim the shape of the sample with a soft brush.

Melting Point and Melting Rate Tester Equipment Installation Site Requirements:
1. The laboratory floor should be flat, dust-free, vibration-free, corrosion-free, free of strong magnetic fields, and well-ventilated;
2. Ambient temperature: 10℃~40℃;
3. Relative humidity: 10~85;
4. Power supply: one hot wire (220 volts) and one neutral wire.
5. Air switch: 220V, 30A.
6. Equipped with a good grounding wire with a grounding resistance ≤4Ω;
7. The furnace body and control cabinet shell should be reliably grounded.
Melting Point and Melting Rate Tester Testing Steps:
1. Turn on the air switch, and the equipment is powered on;
2. Prepare a test sample and place it on the sample gasket;
3. Turn the potentiometer on the melting point and melting rate tester to a lower position, press the start button, and turn the manual/automatic knob to the automatic position;
4. Turn on the computer, start the software, and follow the instructions to perform the test operation;
5. After the test is completed, the equipment will automatically stop, and the stop button of the equipment will light up. Turn the potentiometer on the equipment to a lower position, and turn the manual/automatic knob to the manual position;
6. Cover the dust cover of the camera.
7. Turn off the power of the computer and printer.
8. Turn off the air switch; the test is complete.
Precautions for Melting Point and Melting Rate Tester Testing:
1. The equipment needs to be placed on a stable platform to avoid vibration.
2. The computer system is the dedicated equipment for the tester and must not be used for other purposes or install other application software. Otherwise, the test system will fail.
3. The camera lens should avoid pointing directly at strong light to prevent damage to the camera.
4. Do not block the lens with your hands or other objects during the test to avoid test failure.
