Many people don't know what a dust blowing furnace is, or its structure and blowing process. Today, this article will tell you something about it.
First, let's look at the applicable scope of the dust blowing furnace: In non-ferrous metals, this furnace is suitable for smelting blister copper, recycled copper, secondary nickel matte, and copper-nickel secondary matte.
The blowing process is carried out in a horizontal blowing furnace. The blowing furnace is a cylindrical container, the furnace shell is made of boiler steel plate, and the inner lining is refractory bricks. There is a hole at the top of the furnace, which is the furnace mouth, and the tuyere is along the cylinder. The dust blowing furnace is supported on four pairs of rollers by two rings on the cylinder base, and the rollers are driven by gears to rotate.
The refractory lining of the dust blowing furnace is divided into the following parts: bottom, tuyere zone, upper tuyere zone, top, back tuyere zone, and end.
Magnesite bricks or chrome-magnesite bricks are used for masonry, the tuyere zone is built with a mixture of magnesia and water glass cement, and the remaining components are dry-laid. According to the wear rate of the refractory lining components, the thickness of the furnace top lining is 230mm, the back tuyere zone and the furnace bottom are 330mm, and the tuyere zone, upper tuyere zone, and end are 460mm. The tuyere zone, upper tuyere zone, and back tuyere zone are built with one layer of bricks.
Masonry, especially the tuyere zone, using two layers of standard-sized bricks will reduce the life of the lining. Special-shaped bricks are used for masonry at the place where the radial lining of the upper tuyere zone turns the tuyere belt and the tuyere slope turns the horizontal plane. Rectangular bricks and wedge-shaped bricks are laid at the bottom and both ends. The space between the refractory lining and the shell is filled with crushed magnesite.
The lead button obtained after melting is put into the dust blowing furnace, and the temperature is controlled at 900℃ for melting. At this time, the molten lead contacts with the oxygen in the air and turns into lead oxide, and due to surface tension, most of the PU3 is absorbed by the porous ash pan. A small part volatilizes, gold and silver are not oxidized, and combine into particles remaining in the dust blowing furnace. According to metallurgy, the oxidation smelting process above the melting point of metal oxides is called the blowing process, so we call this separation method the dust blowing process.
The above is about the structure and blowing process of the dust blowing furnace. When using this dust blowing furnace, be sure to use the correct method.
